I do know the G performs pretty well when it’s got enough CPU behind it When the GMAX did eventually hit the streets, there was a relative lack of interest, instead people were turning towards the higher performing 3dfx and NVIDIA solutions as well as their promises of even faster, more powerful products in the months to come. While that claim is definitely one to be taken seriously, among all the 3D accelerated eye candy that was being shown off by companies like 3dfx, no one seemed to pay much attention to 2D anymore. I do not get any of these behaiviors from my Voodoo3 and TNT2.

It seems to be the TurboGL driver alone though, no idea what the procedure for installation would be, do we simply install it ontop of our regular drivers and it overwrites the OpenGL driver? I don’t think they ever made a whole hearted effort on their OpenGL drivers, they just concentrated on D3D.
